We are seeking two full-time faculty members in the Clinical Psychology, PsyD program at Florida Institute of Technology to begin in August 2022. We are looking for one tenure track Assistant Professor and one Teaching Assistant Professor. Applications from individuals with culturally diverse backgrounds are strongly encouraged.

Minimum qualifications for the position include:

A PsyD or PhD degree in Clinical Psychology from an APA-accredited program. Licensed or license-eligible in Florida.

We are seeking dynamic, engaging, and effective teachers who are expected to demonstrate commitment to broad and general training consistent with the Standards of Accreditation. While all excellent candidates will be considered, it is our goal that candidates would complement the broad and general aspects of training. Several possible areas of interest that would be particularly useful include (but are not limited to) psychological testing and assessment, diversity, clinically relevant research and quantitative analyses, and other discipline-specific knowledge areas.

Candidates are expected to show abilities in including diversity in the curriculum. Preference will be given to candidates who demonstrate excellence in teaching, mentorship, and research. This includes teaching experience at the college/university level and the ability to mentor doctoral research projects.

Our program features a range of courses across the spectrum of the discipline. We have an excellent student faculty ratio and students enjoy close working relationships with faculty. The ideal candidate will have a strong clinical background in evidenced-based therapies and assessment. Clinical supervision of students in our training clinic is a part of teaching responsibilities. He or she would also direct doctoral research projects that are similar in form to dissertations. Teaching will also include foundational knowledge courses in the PsyD program and/or undergraduate psychology courses.

The core clinical faculty participates in year-round program activities including student selection and admission processes, annual student evaluations, grading clinical oral and written comprehensive exams, and program strategic planning. The successful candidate will be committed to student success across the curriculum.
