Job Description

The Department of Counseling, Health & Kinesiology is currently seeking applicants for a non-tenure track adjunct faculty position in our undergraduate Human Services program to begin in Fall 2022. Responsibilities include teaching undergraduate courses in the Human Services degree program. Quality performance will be expected in teaching. Additionally, the adjunct faculty will prepare and teach the assigned class following a syllabus guideline. The adjunct faculty will maintain appropriate records, assign earned grades, report needed data to the department, and complete all necessary development assessment information. Work hours depend on course schedule and teaching assignments may include day, night, and/or weekend courses.

Required Qualifications:

  • Masters or doctoral degree in counseling, psychology, social work, sociology or a related educational field

  • 18 graduate hours in a field related to the Human Services program of studies

  • Demonstrated potential for teaching excellence

  • Demonstrated ability in working with culturally diverse populations

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience mentoring students in areas of expertise

  • Experience with educational technology and distance learning

  • Teaching and supervisory experience
