The mission of the College of Nursing & Professional Disciplines (CNPD) is to prepare future leaders, to advance human well-being and improve quality of life for diverse populations, with an emphasis on rural communities in North Dakota, the region and beyond, through the provision of high-quality innovative interprofessional education, research and service. The CNPD is comprised of three departments: Nursing, Nutrition & Dietetics, and Social Work.

The department of Social Work is seeking a full-time (academic year 9-month + separate summer 3-month), non-tenure track faculty member to carry out activities in teaching, field internship support and service. This individual will contribute to a productive and collegial academic team and develop and maintain positive and professional relationships with students. UND Social Work faculty teach in both our campus-based and online distance programs (BSSW and Advanced Generalist MSW). We offer the only MSW program in the state and are committed to providing educational access to non-traditional students, especially those interested in serving rural areas and Native American communities.

The primary responsibilities will be in teaching and service/outreach with 90% effort dedicated to teaching and 10% effort dedicated to service. This position is campus-based, requires a willingness to travel occasionally and to provide online instruction on some evenings.

• MSW earned from an accredited Social Work program
• 2 years of post-MSW practice
• Ability to be licensed in North Dakota

In compliance with federal law, all persons hired will be required to verify identity and eligibility to work in the US and to complete the required employment eligibility verification form upon hire.

• North Dakota Social Work license at the LCSW level
• PhD in Social Work or related field
• Teaching experience or training
• Practice in varied settings
• Experience with diverse populations

$45,000 for the 9 month academic year and $15,000 for the 3 month summer term.

Work schedule will vary based on teaching and service assignments. Start date to be determined upon hire.
