Associate Dean - College of Education and Professional Studies

Job Summary

The Associate Dean serves as a key member of the Dean's executive leadership team and plays an important leadership role in the College of Education and Professional Studies. He/she will represent the college in the absence of the Dean and will work with the Dean in developing and advancing the vision, mission, and goals for the college. Further, the Associate Dean will provide the leadership necessary to achieve/maintain the college's state and national accreditations. This is a full-time, 12-month, benefit-eligible, administrative position with an anticipated start date of July 1, 2022.

Required Qualifications

  • Earned doctorate from a regionally accredited institution in one of the disciplines offered by the school of education.
  • Five (5) years’ experience in higher education.
  • Two (2) years’ experience in administration.
  • Evidence of successful college teaching and a commitment to facilitation of scholarly activities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in developing and maintaining partnerships with P-12 schools
  • History of obtaining and supporting external funding
  • Success with student and faculty/staff recruitment initiatives
  • Experience with doctoral-level programs
