General Description: Working under the supervision of the Media Production Specialist, the University Assistant provides technical support for video production operations throughout the campus. This position provides support for video recording, video streaming, video editing, and video distribution, as well as related tasks.

Additionally, the University Assistant may be required to assist in general office functions and customer service to the campus community.

General Requirements: Working knowledge of Avid Media Composer or Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe Media Encoder, After Effects, Photoshop, Office 365, Mac OS, hardware troubleshooting skills, and strong communication skills.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

• Assist in the setup of camera, lighting, audio, and grip equipment in the TV Studio.
• Assist in transcoding, editing, production, distribution or streaming of campus events.
• Assist in producing content for Eastern’s cable access television channel 195.
• Provide general support for Media Services.
• Must be available to support evening and weekend events when necessary.
