Job Details

Trinity Christian College seeks a full-time Audio-Visual Manager.  The Audio-Visual Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects and needs of audio-visual technology and support for campus and live events

The essential duties and responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to the following:

  • Responsible for all aspects of audio visual on campus
    • Stage and house lighting
    • Microphones
    • House and monitor speakers
    • House and streaming audio and video feeds (single and multi-camera)
    • Mixing audio via digital audio board
    • Video display and projection
    • Ensure all live events are appropriately staffed and equipped
  • Identify, configure, and support classroom technology solutions
  • Record, edit, and produce audio of live studio productions
  • Meet with internal and external clients to identify and support the AV needs of all campus conferences and events
  • Work with consultants and vendors to configure and implement equipment
  • Stay informed of the latest audio-visual trends

A Bachelor’s degree in audio engineering, media production, or related degree or high school diploma with a minimum of 3 years work experience in related field required.

Qualifications include:

  • Technical Skills
    • Digital audio video camera operation and theory
    • Understanding of lighting techniques and color theory
    • Configure and operate a digital multi-channel audio mixer
    • Configure and operate a multi-channel video matrix switcher
    • Audio and video input and output connections and specifications
    • Audio and video codecs and industry standards
  • Software Skills
    • Familiar with Microsoft Windows and Mac OS
    • Comfortable using Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
    • Audio editing solutions
    • Video streaming and conferencing solutions
  • Personal Skills
    • Highly organized and detail oriented
    • Punctual
    • Emphasis on customer and client service
    • Able to adapt to a flexible and fluctuating work schedule that may involve events on nights or weekends
    • Remains calm under pressure during live events
  • Physical Demands
    • Able to life and carry up to 75 pounds
    • Able to climb ladders and steps
    • Able to work in areas elevated up to 50 feet above the floor
    • Able to obtain 20/20 vision through the use of natural or corrective lenses
    • Able to correctly identify shades of color
    • Able to distinguish between varying levels of sounds
    • Able to access and use equipment in dark or confined spaces
    • Able to legally operate a motor vehicle independently
