Job Summary The Aviation Maintenance and Structural Technology (AMST) Lab Coordinator serves as a teaching assistant to the AMST faculty and assist in facilitating the instruction of the program.

    Responsible for constructing training aids and mock-ups.Responsible for marketing the Aviation Maintenance & Structural Technology program. Assists with instruction of Aviation Maintenance and Structural Technology courses in the classroom and lab/shop environment.Assists with facilitating student achievement and competence through the supervision of students in the classroom/shop.Assists with the maintenance and repair of lab equipment.Serves as the substitute instructor in the absence of the primary AMST instructor. Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
  • Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Possession of FAA approved Airframe and Powerplant certificates.
  • Demonstrated experience to understand the basic principles relevant to the major duties of the position.
  • Possession of or ability to readily obtain a valid driver’s license.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Associate Degree from an accredited college/university.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
    Ability to work independently. Ability to organize, repair, order and maintain complex equipment and parts. Exhibits proficiency in teaching. Demonstrates a strong commitment to excellence in aviation maintenance education.

    The work is typically performed while intermittently sitting, standing, or stooping. The employee frequently lifts light and occasionally heavy objects, climbs ladders, uses tools or equipment requiring a high degree of dexterity, and distinguishes between shades of color.The work is typically performed in an office, classroom, aircraft hangar, or outdoors, occasionally in cold or inclement weather. The employee may be exposed to noise, dust, dirt, grease, or machinery with moving parts. Work requires the use of protective devices such as masks, goggles, or gloves.

  • This position is non-exempt (bi-weekly paid)
  • Pay Grade 19
  • Minimum Salary: $46,713
