Monday-Friday 8am – 5 pm; with night and weekends as needed due to responding to student issues, on-call coverage and attendance at other campus events and activities.

Position Summary:

The Student Affairs Case Manager assists and provides intervention case management for students having difficulties which are impacting the student’s success, including but not limited to academics, health, psychological, economic, family/social relationships and behavioral/conduct concerns.

FLSA:

Exempt

Required Education/Experience/Skills:

A master’s in social work, student affairs, higher education, counseling or related field. A bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology, education or other related field and extensive relevant training and experience may also be considered.

Preferred Education/Experience/Skills:

Two to five years of experience working with college students or a similar population with similar needs is preferred. Able to work special events, evenings and weekends as needed.

The successful candidate will demonstrate the following:

  • superior critical thinking and ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment
  • ability to handle highly confidential and sensitive information with professionalism and diplomacy, which aligns with federal, state and university policy
  • ability to build relationships, work as a team, work independently and maintain positive professional relationships
  • ability to manage multiple tasks, exemplify an understanding and commitment to diversity and to provide exemplary customer service
  • knowledge of legal and risk management issues in higher education
