Description:Georgia Gwinnett College (GGC) is seeking candidates for the positions of part-time clinical nursing faculty in the School of Health Sciences. Primarily seeking candidates with experience in pediatrics, medical surgical, OB, psychiatric nursing, simulation and ACEMAPP/clinical placement experience. Faculty report to the Dean of Health Sciences and will be responsible for working closely with the program Director and program faculty in the clinical instruction of nursing students. Clinical faculty will be responsible for instruction in the clinical setting, simulation laboratory and/or clinical skills practice laboratory. Responsibilities:Clinical instruction 12 hours per week each semesterEvaluate students in clinical settings and all clinical activitiesEvaluate clinical sites for program evaluationComplete all orientation requirements of clinical sitesSalaryCommensurate with education and experience. Minimum and Preferred Qualifications:MinimumMaster's degree in Nursing requiredExcellent clinical skills across the life spanRecent clinical experienceCurrent Georgia nursing license in good standing with Georgia Board of NursingCurrent BLS Certification for Healthcare Providers requiredA strong commitment to diversity, student engagement and shared governance PreferredMinimum 2 year experience in clinical teaching in higher education Position Disclosure:Physical RequirementsPosition requires local travel. Ability to lift and carry files and materials. Ability to move from one office to another office on campus. Adequate vision, hearing and manual dexterity to interact with people in person, on the phone and in writing. Job takes place in normal environmental conditions.
