Job Description:

Job Summary:


Reporting to the Director of Graduate Admissions, the Admissions Counselor & Event Coordinator represents Bay Path University to prospective students and organizations and works to increase inquiries and convert applications into enrolled students. The successful Admissions Counselor & Event Coordinator exhibits superior customer service skills and professionalism throughout daily interactions and communications with students including phone calls, emails, and texts. The Admissions Counselor & Event Coordinator will be responsible for the coordination of team events such as information meetings, open houses, orientations, advising days and other recruitment events. The Admissions Counselor & Event Coordinator must demonstrate an ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with team members, faculty, students, alumni, administrators and staff. A flexible work schedule that will include days, evenings, and some weekends is required. Travel, valid driver's license and access to a vehicle required.


ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:


  • Manage assigned prospective students through the enrollment pipeline from inquiry through registration; advise on application process and policies. Uphold a high level of customer service to maintain satisfaction.
  • Plans, organizes, and coordinates team including information meetings, new student orientations, open houses, regional and community presentations, advising days and other recruiting events.
  • Strong conversion skills through all stages of the enrollment funnel to meet or exceed enrollment goals. Actively engage potential students in conversations via phone, in person meetings, virtual and/or in person meetings and Agendize appointments.
  • Represent Bay Path University at college fairs, professional organizations, and conferences to network with potential students.
  • Utilize the Salesforce system in effectively tracking all outreaches to inquiries and applicants.
  • Assist with the implementation of recruitment and promotional events for the Graduate School. These promotional events may include, but are not limited to, arranging speaking engagements for faculty, presentations at local business/professional organizations, and information sessions on campus and virtual events.
  • Handle a wide variety of tasks in a busy service-oriented atmosphere; establish priorities utilizing excellent organizational ability.

OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:


Attend trainings as required.


Perform any other duties or tasks as assigned by the University.


If you operate a University owned, leased or personal vehicle at any time while performing your duties you must follow all policies and procedures outlined in the Operations Manual. You must have a valid driver's license and must successfully pass the online safe Driving Course and driving record check at time of hire and annually thereafter. Additionally, you must report any driving offense, on or off company time, which causes a loss, suspension, or any other change in your license status. You must report this change within one business day of the offense. You can report this change to the Human Resource Department or your direct supervisor. Failure to do so can lead to disciplinary action, up to and including terminations.



Requirements:


QUALIFICATIONS:


  • Bachelor's degree required in a related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills needed.
  • Experience working in a sales or marketing related position or in the recruitment of students in a college setting. Previous Career Development, Human Resources, Sales, Admissions or Enrollment Management preferred.
  • Experience working with or advising students at the undergraduate or graduate level helpful.
  • Ability and willingness to travel and work evenings and weekends as needed.
  • Strong analytical abilities, maturity, and a high energy level.
  • Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Office programs required.
  • Sensitivity to the concerns of diverse student populations.
  • Valid driver's license is required.
  • Must successfully pass the online safe Driving Course and driving record check at time of hire and annually thereafter. Must successfully pass safe driving course within 30-days of employment. Failure to successfully complete the course within the 30-day period is grounds for immediate termination.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform detailed project work with an emphasis on teamwork, working with students, faculty, staff and clients in a professional manner.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Ability to understand the impact of student enrollment on the success of the institution.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.

  • Longmeadow, MA - Home to our Residential College, for high school, transfer and International young women; One Day A Week College, for adult women with classes on Saturday; and Graduate College for men and women. 
  • Concord, MA - Our Concord location is home to our graduate programs in Education and Psychology for men and women.
  • Sturbridge, MA - Our Sturbridge teaching site opened in 2003 and offers our One Day A Week College, for adult women with classes on Saturday and select graduate programs for men and women.
