Missouri Southern State University is seeking candidates for a 10-month, tenure-track Assistant Professor position in Joplin, Missouri, beginning August 1, 2022 for the 2022-2023 academic year. A Ph.D. in Kinesiology, Sport and Recreation Management, Exercise Science, or a closely related field is preferred; however, candidates who are ABD with a commitment to complete a PhD. will be considered. While multiple areas of specialization will be considered, ideal candidates will have an emphasis in Sport and Recreation Management. The position requires a demonstrated commitment to teaching excellence and advising at the undergraduate level. Successful candidates should be prepared to teach Exercise Science and Sport and Recreation Management and oversee practicums and internships. Other responsibilities include student advising and recruitment and active participation in service and scholarship.
