Assistant or Associate Professor in Business

The Department of Business at Alma College, Alma, Michigan invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track faculty position in Business beginning August 2022. The successful candidate will be expected to teach a wide range of courses in the Business curriculum. Rank is at the Assistant or Associate Professor level. Exceptional candidates at the Professor level will be considered. In all its programs, Alma College prioritizes inclusive pedagogy, experiential learning, community engagement, and opportunities for student research. The department seeks a faculty colleague with a demonstrated commitment to excellence in undergraduate teaching in a liberal arts context.

This position will contribute to a newly designed curriculum that reflects a commitment to both data analytics as well as to justice, diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging as core elements of all Business classes. The successful candidate is expected to contribute in these areas. The department has additional teaching needs in the following areas: Accounting, Finance, Management, and/or Marketing. The ability to contribute to a program in Health Care Administration would be desirable. Teaching load is six courses per year. Teaching experience and professional experience are considered ideal. A Ph.D. or DBA in Business or a related field is preferred. An ABD or MBA with professional college level teaching experience and related professional experience will be considered.

Alma’s Division III Athletics program offers intercollegiate competition in 22 varsity sports.
