Responsibilities

STUDENT GROUP ADVISING: Serve as the advisor for student leadership groups, including the Inter-Residence Hall Council (IRHC) and National Residence Hall Honorary (NRHH) chapter; plan and implement training for executive board members and hall councils; coordinate travel arrangements and serve as the delegation advisor for student group conferences; provide oversight of fiscal management of various funds related to IRHC and NRHH; work closely with Student Government Association (SGA) to ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and advisor training.

STUDENT PROGRAMMING: work with staff and student to develop and implement large scale programs in accordance with Residential Curriculum; asses annual and on-going NRHH and IRHC programs and officer trainings.

LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT: Develop and conduct ongoing training and professional development for hall council advisors; coordinate and develop strategies to connect student engagement with student learning; coordinate COMPASS Leadership retreat; complete other duties as assigned in support of University Housing.

CAMPUS REPRESENTATION: work with campus partners to share resources for students and staff related to leadership development; participate and represent leadership programs in campus wide traditions such as Family Weekend, Homecoming, and philanthropy.

SUPERVISION: Provide daily leadership, supervision, professional development, and evaluation for a graduate assistant working in Residence Life with a focus on student leadership and programming.

Qualifications

Master's degree in higher education administration, student personnel, counseling or related field. Full-time or graduate housing/residence life experience in college/university setting required.
