The position plans, organizes, implements and coordinates a complex institutional program or grant proposal.

Preferred Qualifications:

Prefer applicants with experience:
(1) articulating the value and benefits of U.S. community college education and ‘closing the sale’ with prospective international (F-1 visa) students and their parents,
(2) sustaining long-term, positive business relationships across cultures,
(3) producing business plans based on research and with measurable goals and objectives,
(4) developing and delivering training workshops (virtual and in-person) and handbooks for international professionals,
(5) leveraging web-based technologies, including social networking sites,
(6) optimizing the use of customer relationship management (CRM) technology for managing relationships and interactions with customers and potential customers.
(7) speaking, reading and writing in a foreign language,
(8) living in another country,
(9) articulating and applying student development concepts and theory,
(10) hiring, training, supervising and evaluating student employees and engaging alumni, and
(11) creating a culture in a higher education context that celebrates diversity and promotes intercultural learning. An awarded Master’s degree is an added plus.

Supplemental Job Information:

Incumbent will perform international student recruitment as part of a 2-person recruitment team; and contribute to programs that enhance the growth and development of international students while they are in the U.S. The successful candidate will demonstrate a blend of skill sets, including effectively working with prospective students and their parents, overseas high school counselors, recruitment agencies and other partner organizations. This is a full-time, provisional (temporary) position with no anticipated end date. The starting salary is $49,366.81 and the position is benefits eligible.. The Project Manager will report to the College’s Senior International Officer/Director of International Education and will join the professional team comprising the Center for International Education (CIE).
