The University of Florida invites applications for a Clinical Assistant Professor position to work within the Educational Technology program area in the School of Teaching and Learning. The Educational Technology program facilitates, studies and disseminates the ways in which innovative technologies and emerging physical, virtual and blended learning environments empower educators and learners and impact society. We offer campus-based MAE and Ph.D. degree programs, and online BAES, M.Ed., Ed.S. and Ed.D. degree programs in Curriculum and Instruction with a specialization in Educational Technology. We also offer five online certificate programs. The Educational Technology program is ranked 2nd in online graduate education. The Educational Technology program is affiliated with the Institute for Advanced Learning Technologies (IALT), a unit charged with facilitating interdisciplinary collaborative endeavors that will advance scholarship and practices in technology-enhanced learning. The successful applicant will join a collaborative, cohesive, and energetic community of scholars within the College that is committed to high quality teaching, research, and service.

We welcome a candidate with experience in online education and professional experiences in the field of Educational Technology. The successful applicant for the Clinical Assistant Professor position is expected to teach online graduate courses and mentor professional graduate students in an online Doctor of Education in Curriculum and Instruction (concentration in Educational Technology); further their scholarship of teaching at meetings of professional organizations and through appropriate publications; and engage in service to the program, school, college, university and profession. This 12-month non-tenure-accruing faculty appointment will begin August 2022. Responsibilities:

Teach online Ed.D. and Masters courses in Educational Technology

Mentor graduate students in an online professional doctorate (Ed.D.)

Contribute to online Ed.D. program coordination and continuous improvement

Provide service to the program, school, college, university, and the profession

Conduct scholarly activities commensurate with expectations of a clinical faculty member

Expected Salary:

Salary is negotiable, competitive, and commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Minimum Requirements:

• Earned doctorate (by August 2022) in curriculum and instruction (with appropriate focus), educational technology; instructional technology; instructional design; learning, design, and technology; educational media; or closely related field
• Experience developing and teaching online courses in educational technology
• Experience within the professional practice of educational technology (e.g., instructional design)

Record of scholarship as demonstrated through publications and presentations at national conferences (commensurate with experience)

Evidence of collaboration with faculty, students, and other stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications:

Record of excellence in teaching and/or mentoring students in higher education contexts

Commitment to active engagement with and/or leadership in professional organizations

• Strong communication and organizational skills

A commitment to working in an interdisciplinary teaching and learning environment
