Nature of Work:

The University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus is seeking applications for a Business Senior Services Professional. This full-time, University Staff position is responsible for providing project management, recruitment, and financial support to the Department of Emergency Medicine. This includes: managing the annual faculty performance evaluation process for Emergency Medicine Faculty; managing and processing all aspects of payroll, acting as a project manager for all phases of the clinical faculty recruitment process; and overseeing the Department’s POI and Scribe Onboarding   process.

Supervision Received: This position will report to the HR & Faculty Affairs Manager.

Supervision Exercised: This position does not currently supervisor other personnel.

Examples of Work Performed: 

    Manages the onboarding of the Department’s Scribe Program, Manages the POI process for the departmentCoordination of department leave program and entry into HCMManages all phases of the clinical faculty recruitment process, including coordinating candidate travel, accommodations, and schedule.  Acts as a project manager and monitors the progress of all faculty recruitments, through the initial applicant phase to the final interview. Evaluates all new applications for completeness and criteria; triages applicants to the appropriate hiring authority/faculty member.Manages first and final round interviews by: coordinating candidate travel, accommodations and schedules; reserving appropriate University resources (i.e. IT, personnel, rooms, etc.); and resolving any schedule conflicts and/or last minute cancelations. Manages travel reimbursements.Provides recruitment notifications to applicants including referral letters, not selected letters, etc.
Manages onboarding for all new hires, which includes developing a best-in-class onboarding process in collaboration with the HR Manager, Assistant Director of Finance and Administration,  Vice Chair of Finance and Administration, and Vice Chair of Strategy and GrowthManages monthly payroll, bi-weekly payroll, additional pay and leave entryCreates leave plans for employees on Family Medical Leave.  Runs monthly reports to determine variance analysis on payroll transactions. Identifies errors and makes correcting entries as neededManages the annual faculty performance reviews (PRiSM) with scheduling and input information on faculty review forms.Develops a process for submitting evaluations to Section and affinity group leaders, as well as coordinates the second tier meetingsDetermines what information/documentation is required for each tier’s (1st and 2nd) evaluation and develops processes to ensure all evaluations are completed with appropriate information provided. Program support for five EMED Affinity Groups, including scheduling mentoring and group meetings, maintain membership lists, and facilitate academic activities run by affinity groups (e.g. educational events on and off campus) as needed.Responds to both internal & external confidential inquiries related to the Department of Emergency Medicine.Coordinate the promotion and mid-term review processes for EMEDOrganize and maintain Academic Affairs records (paper and electronic), including hosting the faculty tracking sheet in coordination with EMED human resource specialistsDepartment coordinator for notification of mal-practice insurance coverage.In collaboration with the HR Manager, assist in the development of process improvement initiatives.Perform other duties as assigned.This description is a summary only and is describing the general level of work being performed, it is not intended to be all-inclusive. Minimum Qualifications:

    Bachelor’s degree in business, communications, accounting, finance, social sciences, marketing or other closely related field. Two (2) years of human resources and/or payroll experience in an academic, health care, and/or business related environment.
Required: Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.

PLEASE NOTE: Candidates will be responsible for travel expenses related to the interview process and any relocation expenses, if applicable.

Preferred Qualifications:

    Three (3) years of human resources and/or payroll experience in an academic, health care, and/or business related environment.Master’s degree in business, communications, accounting, finance, social sciences, marketing or other closely related field.Professional and progressively responsible business experience.Experience working in an academic medical environmentExperience in a collaboration and work management software program (Airtable, Smartsheet)

Ability to monitor ongoing inquiries and ensure they have been addressed in a timely and effective manner.
Salary and Benefits:

The salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established at $50,000 - $65,000.  

The salary of the finalist(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialty and training.

The above salary range (or hiring range) represents the University’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.

This position is not eligible for overtime compensation.
