NURSING FACULTY POSITION with EXPERTISE in COMMUNITY HEALTH

Position

Full-time tenure track position in the Department of Nursing, beginning August 2022.  The department of nursing offers a professional program leading to the Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) and is accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education.

Qualifications

A minimum of a master’s degree in nursing is required, a doctorate with a nursing focus is preferred. Clinical practice experience in community health with the ability to teach both theory and clinical is required. Additional experience and ability to teach in a second clinical area such as pediatrics, adult health, obstetrics and/or mental health required. Current unencumbered licensure as a registered nurse in Illinois is required. Successful experience in teaching at the baccalaureate level is desirable.

Successful candidates will possess the ability to articulate the relationship among their academic discipline, the vocational preparation of their students, and a vision for human flourishing that emerges from the Christian faith. Successful candidates will also be dedicated to personal involvement with students outside of the classroom through advising and other informal academic and cultural settings. 

Responsibilities

Responsibility for teaching both the theory and clinical components of Community Health nursing course. Additional responsibility to teach in a second area of clinical expertise. Faculty members have additional responsibility for student advisement, college and department service, and scholarly and professional achievement.

Compensation

Rank and salary commensurate with experience.  Benefits include health insurance, pension, life insurance, and disability insurance.

Trinity Christian College is a four-year liberal arts college located in Palos Heights, Illinois, a suburb twenty miles southwest of Chicago.
