Qualifications
Minimum Requirements
- Applicants must have 2 years of clinical experience with children, adolescents and young adultsNurse Practitioner license required - PNP or FNPPrescriptive authority and current DEA licenseDemonstrated experience with LGBTQ youth in a clinical setting
- Must successfully pass a drug test through Children’s Hospital Colorado
- Must be willing and able to pass a national criminal background check
- 3+ years of experience supporting LGBTQ youth in a clinical setting
- Demonstrated clinical experience working with vulnerable populations
- Demonstrated clinical experience with reproductive health
- Demonstrated experience with screening for, treatment of, and prevention of sexually transmitted infections
- Spanish speaking
- Understanding of the complexity of caring for LGBTQ youth.
- Commitment to continuing education related to standards of gender affirming care, including hormone treatment.
- Ability to teach and supervise trainees
- Familiar with practicing delivery of confidential services surrounding sensitive topics such as gender identity, physical and behavioral health, sexual health and other related topics.
