The School of Nursing is entering a new era to Transform the Future of Nursing with Inclusive Communities, Passionate People, Innovative Practices, and Extraordinary Outcomes. Position Summary:

The School of Nursing at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro is seeking faculty members to apply for a full-time tenure/tenure-track position. The School is recruiting creative and highly motivated candidates who want to advance their academic careers and support the research, teaching, and service mission of the UNCG School of Nursing. We are seeking innovative and talented individuals actively engaged in research and education to become part of our dynamic team. Our research priorities include a focus on vulnerable populations in the areas of chronic disease prevention and management, health disparities, health services, and interventions and symptom management. Other research foci will be considered.

Tenure/tenure-track positions are research-intensive. Tenure/tenure-track faculty are expected to develop a focused program of research, seek external funding, disseminate research findings, and teach. All positions will have responsibilities in our research, teaching, and service missions. Candidates with experience in these areas are preferred. Candidates must hold or anticipate a research doctoral degree in nursing or related field by August 1, 2022. Tenure is available at the Associate Professor rank for those who meet the criteria.

This is a 9-month academic year position with full benefits.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Candidates must hold a graduate degree in nursing and must hold or anticipate a research doctoral degree in nursing or related field by August 1, 2022.
  • An unencumbered RN license in North Carolina is required prior to employment date.
  • An established area of research with funding potential.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Post-Doctoral experience
  • Experience in higher education, such as classroom and/or clinical teaching
  • Demonstrated research productivity and ability to secure funding
  • Record of accomplishment in scholarship and service
  • Mid-career researcher preferred
