Associate's degree from an accredited college or university, along with six years of directly related program experience in a hospital or academic setting to include directly related clinical rotation programs experienceKnowledge, Skills, & Abilities Ability to maintain confidentiality.Excellent customer service, interpersonal, multi-tasking, organizational and verbal/written communication skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint) and other computer software/databases.
Ability to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously, meet deadlines despite often interruptions, maintain confidentiality, keep accurate records and make independent decisions.Job Summary This position reports directly to the Campus Associate Dean for SE Regional Campus, Medical College of Georgia and works in concert with the Associate Dean for Regional Campuses. S/he will be the face of the MCG NW Regional Campus with direct contact with local physicians, hospitals and AHEC for recruitment of students and faculty to participate in the teaching programs. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Make personal visits to MCG's medical students completing their clinical rotations in community-based settings to assure their experiences are satisfactory and in compliance with MCG's clinical requirements.
  • Provide verbal and written reports to the Associate Dean as to the activity of students in their area and their
  • progress.
  • Assist the Associate Dean and Assistant Dean for SE Georgia campus to identify, recruit and support clinical faculty in the SE Georgia region from hospitals and private practice locations.
  • Serve as liaison between the Associate and Assistant Dean's for SE Georgia campus, the regional hospitals and the Magnolia/Coastlands AHEC in assuring that student housing and support needs are met during their clinical rotations in the regions.
  • Create and maintain an internet interface as a student reference guide. Work with MCG communications team to keep website updated with pertinent information regarding SE Clinical Campus updates and student support endeavors in the region.
  • Interface routinely with physician's support staff.
  • Coordinate regularly scheduled meetings with students and clinical faculty as deemed necessary.
  • Assist with the preparation of presentation to community organizations, schools and universities in support of recruiting students to MCG and strengthening the regional campus efforts.
  • Assist with the proctoring of all exams for the SE campus.
  • Perform all other related work assignments and/or special projects as directed.

Shift: Days/M-F (Work outside of the normal business hours may be required.)

Salary to be commensurate with qualifications of selected candidate within the established range (generally minimum-midpoint) of the position
