Chief and Assistant/Associate/Full Professor – Pediatric Genetics & Metabolism
The Department of Pediatrics at the University of Florida is seeking a Chief of Pediatric Genetics and Metabolism. This is a faculty position in the tenure or non-tenure track with the rank of Chief & Associate/Full Professor.
The Division provides comprehensive clinical care and diagnostic genetics services to pediatric patients referred for the evaluation of genetic disorders. The division’s mission is to effectively teach medical genetics to students and residents at all levels of their training, and to conduct clinical and molecular based genetics research and expert clinical care. This individual will serve as Chief of the division to 5 faculty members, 4 genetic counselors, 3 registered dietitians, and 6 administrative personnel. The position will provide genetic care services to patients in numerous locations including Tallahassee/Pensacola outreach clinics, Pediatric Specialties clinics, UF Health Shands Children’s hospital, telemedicine services, and any other locations established or expanded. Effort will be devoted to the Florida Department of Health Children’s Medical Services Long-term Genetics and Newborn Screen contract.

Commensurate with education and experience
Applicants must have a M.D. or M.D./Ph.D. or other equivalent and be licensed or eligible for licensure in the State of Florida in Pediatrics and be board certified /eligible in the appropriate subspecialty.
Board certified in both Medical Genetics and Biochemical Genetics.
