The Division of General Internal Medicine, Department of Medicine at the University of Colorado School of Medicine, seeks a clinician-educator that is committed to a career as a clinician practicing and teaching palliative medicine at a community hospital. Full-time and part-time positions will be considered at the Assistant Professor faculty rank.Professional Field:

Clinical duties include attending on the Palliative Care Consult Service and/or the Palliative Care Clinic at a University of Colorado Health clinic or hospital. Teaching activities may include leading formal/informal teaching sessions. Academic responsibilities may include active participation in palliative care quality improvement initiatives or other scholarly activities. PLEASE NOTE: Candidates will be responsible for travel expenses related to the interview process and any relocation expenses, if applicable.The clinician-educator will have opportunity for academic promotion judged on criteria of demonstrated excellence as a clinician, educator and scholar. Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.Preferred Qualifications
- Assistant Professor: MD or DO degree
- Board Certified or Board eligible in Hospice and Palliative Medicine
- Assistant Professor: Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine.
- Current State of Colorado Medical License and DEA.
- 0-7 years’ experience as an MD or DO.
- Current faculty in General Internal Medicine, Palliative Care Consult Service or the Palliative Care Clinic.
