Job Description:

Budget Title: Staff Assistant (SL-2)

Salary: $45,000-$47,000

Binghamton University invites applications for the position of Program Coordinator for Off Campus and Fraternity/Sorority Life. The successful applicant will join the team of the Office of the Dean of Students in a diverse, dynamic, high-energy environment to accomplish the department's mission of providing student centered programs and services through collaboration with students, faculty, and other professionals.

The Program Coordinator will:

• Coordinate all aspects of a valuable off campus housing program. This includes listings, housing fairs, collaboration with code enforcement, and educational programming related to off campus housing
• Manage and assess data related to Off Campus Housing and the University Legal Clinic
• Assist with operations of the Town Gown Advisory Board
• Assist with Fraternity/Sorority Programming (Dance Marathon, Homecoming, etc)
• Assist in the development and assessment of educational programs for the Fraternity and Sorority Community
• Advise Fraternity and Sorority Governing Councils and serve as chapter support
• Supervise a graduate assistant and student staff
• Participate in professional development activities that enhance student learning, understanding of the field, application of student development concepts, and developments in the area of student programming

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree
• Frequent late night and weekend work
• Membership in a fraternity or sorority

Preferred:

• Master's degree in Student Personnel or related field
• Membership in a NALFO, NPHC, or NMGC fraternity or sorority
