Associate's Degree and 5 years experience*

Licensing Requirements:
- Industry Certification including: GM Technician Training, PA State Vehicle Safety and Emissions Inspection, and NATEF
- Valid Driver's license

Job Specific Task List:
- Prepare course and lab materials for training in assigned area. - review and maintain course content, assuring compliance with HACC standards and policy. - Monitors proper use and care of the equipment during training. - Gathers student information at the beginning/end of class including: OEF's, student release forms; permission for photography forms; program specific information. -Course/Instructor Evaluations. - (Standard)
- Instructs students in assigned area; selects, develops, and delivers curriculum, including lectures, discussion, quizzes, and exams to meet established guidelines. - Lectures -Quizzes and tests/exams -Discussions - Lab (hands-on) - Hands on assessments - (Standard)
- Prepares course and laboratory materials; ensures content of material is relevant, and monitors proper use of care of equipment during lab exercises. - (Standard)
- Assist with coordinating department activities, such as: - maintaining records - communication with staff - researching information -providing support to the coordinator - staff meeting -problem solving -special events scheduling classes - (Standard)
- Coordinates and participates in counseling and advising sessions with students including job searches; may maintain regular office hours. - provide support to ASEP and Automotive Technology programs. - (Standard)
- Maintains equipment and supplies; organizes, orders materials, and arranges for repair of equipment as needed. - Fuels all equipment or directs other instructors to do so. - Performs lift inspections to ensure safe lift operations. - Update vehicle usage logs. - (Standard)
- Participates in continuing education and professional development courses as assigned. - (Standard)
- Serves on various committees and makes recommendations on college policies and procedures. - (Standard)
- Performs needs assessment to workforce clients: Designs, delivers, evaluates and reports assessment results. - (Standard)
- Customizes curriculum for workforce clients. - (Standard)
- Responsible for transport of equipment and supplies for workforce offsite training. - (Standard)
- Provides support for the College Mission and Strategic Plan by: serving on various non-credit committees; work with industry roundtables and advisory boards to align curriculum with community and industry needs such as: - NATEF certification requirements. - Serve on ASEP and Automotive advisory committees. - (Standard)
- Continue training to remain current with technology and industry needs - including 100% certification in all GM training areas. - (Standard)
- GM Specific Tasks - Promote GM training and GM ASEP through various GM Service club meetings and ACDelco meetings. - Update GM dealers as to the training requirements on a bi-monthly basis. - Provide feedback for errors discovered in GM Service Information. - Provide GM course feedback to regional training manager for errors discovered in GM courses. - (Standard)
