Job Description:

The primary role of Senior Admissions Fellows is to represent Middlebury College to visiting students and families by leading information sessions, assisting with campus open house events, being an ambassador of the College, and completing other various admissions-related projects throughout the academic year. Fellows will offer valuable student perspectives on Middlebury College to visiting students and their families and will also gain exposure and experience in all cycles of the college admissions process.Fellows’ weekly responsibility is to conduct group information sessions in person and online throughout the year. Fellows will work at open house events in various capacities (welcoming families, serving as student speakers or on student panels, helping organize programming, ensuring events run smoothly, etc.).Fellows will assist the admissions staff with various projects, efforts, and administrative duties as necessary.Fellows will work approximately two to four hours per week throughout the academic year.Fellows will be exposed to the college admissions process and will gain practical experience working as paraprofessionals in the admissions office.Experience:Fellows should be comfortable speaking with groups, large and small, composed of varied constituents.Fellows should be comfortable highlighting what makes Middlebury a distinctive and desirable college choice.Fellows should be willing to serve as a point of reference for prospective students, which will entail frequent correspondence via email, phone, Zoom, etc

If Covid-19 continues to impact campus visit protocols in the 2022-2023 academic year, Fellows will be expected to perform their work virtually
