Description:
Stochastic modeling of cellular internalization and transport.
Teach a math course academic year; prepare lectures, homework, and exams; hold two office hours per week; supervise a teaching assistant.
Conduct research in coordination with Tulane investigators.
Performs other duties as requested or required, whether specifically mentioned in this job description.
This position is affiliated with and primarily funded by the Southeast Center for Mathematics and Biology.
Qualifications:
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
1. A PhD or equivalent in mathematics, statistics, computer science, physics, or other closely related field.
2. Demonstrated research excellence
3. Strong oral and written communication skills.
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
1. A PhD or equivalent in mathematics, statistics, computer science, physics, or other closely related field.
2. Experience teaching advanced mathematics courses.
3. Experience conducting research.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES/COMPETENCIES TYPICALLY NEEDED TO PERFORM THIS JOB SUCCESSFULLY:
Expertise in the area of stochastic modeling, analysis and simulation.
