SUMMARY STATEMENT

Personal Trainer Instructors are responsible for educating clients and enforcing policies regarding safe and proper use of equipment. Individuals holding this position must be able to develop, document, and implement one-on-one, partner, or group workout programs that match the needs and goals of clients.

ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS

A. The Personal Trainer Instructors report directly to and is responsible to Program Manager of Business, Certification and Licensure

B. The position provides supervision to: N/A

C. The Personal Trainer Instructors coordinates most closely with: Program Manager for Business, Certification and Licensure Assistant Professor, Phys Ed & Fitness Center Coordinator

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

1. Demonstrate the correct way to use exercise equipment

2. Facilitating curriculum from ACE

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• Minimum of a bachelor’s degree preferred.

• If no bachelor degree in exercise science, then must meet ALL of the following criteria: a minimum of a bachelor's degree in any field, AND at least three years of experience teaching academic exercise science courses at an accredited two- or four-year college or university, AND a current exercise NCCA-accredited exercise professional certification
