Administrative Assistant, TRIO Programs
Job Description:This job description is a general description of the essential job functions. All employees of Gulf Coast State College are expected to perform duties as assigned by Gulf Coast State College supervisory/management personnel, regardless of job title or routine job duties.

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The ability to work flexible hours and regular attendance at work are essential functions of this position. The ability to travel locally and out of town on college related business may be required. The primary functions of this position are to perform secretarial and clerical tasks relating to the support of the TRIO programs (UB, EOC, SSS).
Provide clerical and administrative support to the TRIO UB, EOC, SSS programs.Receive, distribute, and handle incoming and outgoing mail and correspondences.Maintain inventory of supplies and materials for daily operations and submit office supplies list to the TRIO Director for processing.Arrange monthly staff/program meetings and take notes or minutes when needed.Assist with facility arrangements – calling plumber, AC repair etc.Prepare and process monthly time sheets and attendance reports.Create and maintain student files.Update telephone directory and emergency contact list as needed.
Collect and submit reports for the TRIO programs.
Assist in research and data collection as needed.
High school diploma or equivalency required.
Communication skills and knowledge of windows applications required.
Strong computer/typing skills and organizational skills.
Associate Degree preferred.
Prior experience working with TRIO programs or working with disadvantaged students preferred.
