Salary: $51,145

This is a program funded position. Program-funded positions expire either at the end of the stated term or whenever funding for the position ceases.

The College is looking for exceptional colleagues to join the MVCC community. We are currently seeking a full-time Coordinator of the Center for Leadership Excellence in the Office of the President. The Coordinator meets community needs by coordinating the development and delivery of leadership programs for personal enrichment and professional development.

Key responsibilities for this position include:

  • Works collaboratively with the Executive Director of Leadership Mohawk Valley (LMV), Board of Directors and LMV Curriculum Committee to identify and prioritize educational needs of leadership, enrichment, and development offerings;
  • Coordinates delivery of courses to meet objectives;
  • Assists the Executive Director with the preparation of marketing plans, and recommends initiatives to increase enrollment in Center for Learning Excellence (CLE) programs;
  • Assists Executive Director with the recruitment of qualified individuals for participation in various CLE programs, tracks course progress and support success, and hosts programming;
  • Coordinates program day activities and evaluates effectiveness of programming in collaboration with LMV Program Assistant and Curriculum Committee;
  • Tracks statistics, maintains databases and generates relevant reports;
  • Supervises support staff and collaborates with internal and external colleagues;
  • Supports marketing efforts, and serves as web content manager for social media enterprises including but not limited to Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn;
  • Liaison between CLE instructors and College departments;
  • Other duties related to this job description and as assigned by the Executive Director of LMV.

Qualifications:

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or appropriate field
  • Effective interpersonal, organizational and communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to integrate technology into training required
  • Valid driver’s license at the time of hire and for the duration of the appointment

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree
  • Experience working in education and private industry

Mohawk Valley Community College has more than 800 full-time and part-time employees at our campuses in Utica and Rome, NY. We are located in the Central New York region at the foothills of the Adirondack Mountains between Syracuse and Albany, NY in Oneida County.
