Position Summary:

This is to fill part-time positions on the Brandon campus, Dale Mabry campus, MacDill A.F.B. center, Plant City campus, SouthShore campus, and Ybor City campus. This position provides academic support to students enrolled in HCC math course, develops and creates workshops/reviews for enhancing student learning, and assists student tutors as needed.

Required Qualifications:

The position requires at least an Associate’s Degree or two-year College equivalent (at least 60 undergraduate semester hours) and at least two years of prior-related work experience. The position requires at least a High School diploma or GED equivalent if substituting experience for education.

Job Description :

This is to fill part-time positions on the Brandon campus, Dale Mabry campus, MacDill A.F.B. center, Plant City campus, SouthShore campus, and Ybor City campus. This position provides academic support to students enrolled in HCC math course, develops and creates workshops/reviews for enhancing student learning, and assists student tutors as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

Prefer applicants with:
(1) the ability to provide academic support for all HCC math classes,
including statistics,
(2) at least an awarded Bachelor’s degree,
(3) tutoring or teaching
experience in the subject area,
(4) excellent interpersonal skills, and
(5) online tutoring
experience.

Supplemental Job Information:

This is an on-campus position that requires the ability to deliver both in-person and online tutoring services. This position will be scheduled no more than 28 hours per week. Evening and weekend hours may be required.

Additional Documents Required:

If the applicant is not substituting experience for the educational requirement of an awarded Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited educational institution, must attach a copy of their diploma and transcript at the time of application. Applicants need to submit transcripts and a resume detailing tutoring experience.
