Job Summary The School of Education and Behavioral Sciences at Middle Georgia State University is seeking candidates for an Assistant Professor of Education. This is a ten-month tenure track teaching and clinical position in the Teacher Education Program and reports to the Chair of Teacher Education and Social Work.

Responsibilities Teach undergraduate and graduate coursework with a 4/4 load; possess knowledge related to face-to-face, on-line, and other distance education delivery systems; supervise clinical and field experiences; and advise undergraduate and graduate students. Teaching responsibilities may include online, hybrid, and/or face-to-face day and/or evening classes. Travel between campuses (Cochran, Dublin, Macon and Warner Robins) is required. In addition to teaching responsibilities, engage in scholarly activity and participate in service to the university, the School of Education and Behavioral Science, and the community.

Required Qualifications
    Ph.D. or Ed.D in Education or related field A minimum of three years teaching experience in a P-5 setting in one of the following content areas: Literacy, Math, Science, or Social Studies..

Preferred Qualifications
    Experience in teaching in higher educationExperience as a cooperating teacher or an instructional coach Experience in working with diverse learners Demonstration of a strong commitment to excellence in teaching and scholarly endeavors Teaching Support and Coaching EndorsementOther educational endorsements such as Reading, Dyslexia, ESL, Math, STEM, Gifted, etc.Experience in utilizing instructional technology
