Harborview Medical Center’s (HMC) Psychiatric Emergency Services as has an outstanding opportunity for an Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner( ARNP) Physician Assistant Certified,(PA-C) Hourly/Per Diem, Variable Shift position.

The Psychiatry Emergency Services Nurse Practitioner or, Physician Assistant performs psychiatric evaluations and physical exams under the clinical supervision of an attending psychiatrist. The Nurse Practitioner; or Physician Assistant works in collaboration with the team psychiatrists, social workers, RNs, MAs and support personnel. Responsibilities include psychiatric evaluations, recording health histories, performing physical exams, initiating diagnostic procedures and, depending on licensure, managing health problems including alcohol and drug withdrawal.REQUIREMENTS:Have/Obtain an unrestricted/unencumbered Washington state licenses as an

Advanced Register Nurse Practitioner (ARNP)- with prescriptive privileges AND a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or higher from an accredited school of nursing.
OR
Physician assistant (PA-C)
AND
National certification as a Nurse Practitioner
OR
National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistant (NCCPA)
AND
American hear Association (AHA) Advance Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification


Note Applicant must be eligible to receive hospital staff appointments for adjunct staff membership by the Organized Medial Staff of the hospital under Medical Staff By-Laws for hospital-based positions.


Desired

Psychiatric experience is desirable.
