The University of Colorado l Anschutz Medical Campus is seeking applications for an Assistant Substance/Behavioral Health Clinician position at the ARTs - Reflections Program for Women. Please note - two (2) positions are available - Overnight (11:00 pm - 7:00 am) and Swing shift (3:00 pm - 11:00 pm).  

    Observe, monitor, and intervene in drug/alcohol treatment through acting as a support staff to the Substance/Behavioral Health Clinician Addressing client behaviors Assure compliance with program structure Address gender specific issues in a trauma informed approach Assist with crisis intervention related to mental health and trauma needs Monitor and assist mothers with basic infant care when infant wakes in middle of the nightEnsure infant safe sleep practices are adhered toFiling and auditing of chartsAssure safety of staff and clientsAssist counselors with cognitive/behavioral approaches and assignments Support, monitor and document urine screens and BA screens Monitor and document medication for clients Perform routine inspections of residential premises both inside and out as well as conduct facility walk throughs, including client room and bed checks Perform contraband searches, fire drills and safety inspections Identify and respond to crisis and notify immediate supervisor/work leader of any unusual circumstances and violation of program rules Transport clients off site as needed, attend staff meetings and individual and/or group supervision, and trainings Perform other duties as assigned or required.

Note: This is an essential services position.  The incumbent is required to respond after hours during emergencies and report to work for regular assigned shifts during emergency campus closures.



Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:

    High school diploma or General Education Diploma (GED).
Required: Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.

Preferred Qualifications:

    Possess a Certified Addiction Counselor I (now known as a CAT) certification or higherBachelor’s degree in psychology, counseling, counseling psychology or a related field.Experience working in a substance use disorder treatment program with adult female clientsExperience using an Electronic Medical Record
Conditions of Employment:

    Must possess and maintain a valid State of Colorado Driver's License or be able to obtain one within 30 days of hireMust agree to fingerprinting and criminal background check. Required background checks include a review with the Colorado Bureau of Investigation (CBI) Subject to pre-employment, post-accident or incident or reasonable suspicion drug and alcohol testing per UCD Addiction Research and Treatment Services Department Policies.In accordance with the Prison Rape Elimination Act (PREA), ARTS cannot employ individuals who may have contact with residents who have (1) engaged in sexual abuse in a prison, jail, lockup, community confinement facility, juvenile facility, or other Institution (as defined in 42 U.S. C. § 1997); (2) been convicted of engaging or attempting to engage in sexual activity in the community facilitated by force, overt or implied threats of force, or coercion, or if the victim did not consent or was unable to consent or refuse; or (3) been civilly or administratively adjudicated to have engaged in the activity described in (1-3) of this section.  Material omissions regarding such misconduct, or the provision of materially false information, shall be grounds forMust be able to provide a copy of your diploma, transcripts, or certificates at the time of hire
Because this position requires direct observation of females submitting specimens for urinalysis and nightly bed checks of female clients, being female has been determined to be a Bona Fide Occupational Qualification and only females will be considered for the position.

Salary and Benefits:

The salary range for this position has been established at $37,087 - $40,104

This position is eligible for overtime compensation.
