Job Summary/Basic Function:This is a graduate/doctoral-level adjunct position within the Helms School of Government online. Responsibilities include teaching one or more of the following graduate/doctoral-level courses on China:
- China’s Political Worldview
- Chinese Politics
- The Political Economy of China
- Chinese Foreign Policy
- Chinese and Western Strategic Thought
- Chinese Grand Strategy
EducationPh.D., Doctor (other than Juris Doctor), or similar terminal degree from an accrediting agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education in:
- Political Science
- International Relations
- Asian or Chinese Studies
- Security Studies
- National Security
- Statecraft
- Economics/Political Economy
- History
Other Qualifications:
- Demonstrated research interest and expertise in Chinese Ideology, Chinese Politics, Chinese Political Economy, and/or Chinese National Security
- Demonstrated strengths in teaching
- Strong organizational skills that facilitate assignment/task anticipation and completion.
- Superior interpersonal and presentation skills required.
- Highly effective verbal and written communication skills
- Mastery of Microsoft Office suite and online learning management systems (Canvas)
