JOB SUMMARY

The University of Connecticut is accepting applications and nominations for the full-time position of Assistant Director of On-campus Recruiting.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Assist the Director of On-campus Recruiting with all recruiting event coordination; assist in the overall vision and execution of the overall plan for official and unofficial visits; manage all NCAA compliance forms for official and unofficial visits; providing support for practice and game preparation, including attending meetings related to coaching activities which include game analysis and review of game film; assisting, as needed, with data collection including the tracking of team performance statistics during competitions and practice sessions; assist the General Manager with communication efforts with prospective student-athletes and their families; prepare film on prospective student-athletes and clip it to highlight abilities/skills that coaches will then use to make an evaluation; assist the coaches recruiting travel; assist with the travel logistics for all recruiting visits; oversee student staff working all on-campus visit; and other program duties as assigned by the Head Football Coach and the General Manager for Football.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s degree required; knowledge of the correct application of NCAA regulations; strong commitment to the academic goals of the University; and excellent organizational, communication, and public relations skills.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Experience working within a Division I football program; experience working in a marketing department for a Division I athletic department; previous experience assisting the overall operations of recruitment; previous experience within a power five football program; proficiency in excel; and possesses coaching and student-athlete development philosophies consistent with that of the Division of Athletics and its football program.

APPOINTMENT TERMS

Salary will be commensurate with experience.
