Job Summary:

Reflections for Women is an up to 90 day residential substance use disorder treatment facility for women. Located on the Ft. Logan campus in Southwest Denver, Reflections provides a safe and confidential environment where women can recover from the disease of addiction and co-occurring mental health disorders. We provide trauma informed services, case management, individual and group sessions, mental health therapy, psychiatric assessment and medication management, as well as medicated assisted treatment.  We also provide specialized services to pregnant women and women with infant and children, and children who are 15 months or younger may reside with their mothers in treatment.  This full-time University Staff (non-classified) position is primarily an 8:00 am- 4:00 pm shift, however, must be flexible to work some evenings, 4:00 pm -12:00 midnight shifts as well as weekend shifts when needed. The ideal candidate will function as part of a larger interdisciplinary team that provides substance use disorder counseling and case management to clients enrolled in the program. 

Examples of duties performed:

Will provide case management services to clients which will include but is not limited to: 

    Coordination of medical services through Sheridan Health Services or other care providers, assistance in transportation to appointments, assistance with community resources, coordination of transition and discharge services for clients in the community which may include outpatient SUD and mental health care, assist clients in obtaining and maintain benefits (Medicaid, food stamps, TANF, CCAP), assist clients with WIC including helping clients with shopping needs for their children, organizing and acting as the lead liaison for WeeCycle ( a local agency that provides mothers with baby items). Assist in the coordination of prenatal, intra-partum and postpartum support to pregnant and parenting women at Reflections for Women either through a contracted doula, Labor and Delivery department, or client’s PCP. Screen families to support loved ones so they may attend births.  Develop visiting plans with families once child is born.  Make recommendations to Program Coordinator regarding familial concernsTriage discharge planning from the hospital for mothers in treatment who have delivered or have other medical needs. Assure communication with both mother and hospital staff and communicate plan to milieu staff and assure medical daps are filled out tracked and filed.Collect Baby Data after all births and report to appropriate agencies. Work as part of interdisciplinary team to coordinate needed services for parenting clients related to bonding and attachment, pediatric care, developmental support, and family services.  Work with DHS or other caregivers to assure the smooth transition of children into their mother’s care, developing visitation and transition schedules, attending team decision meetings as needed, coordinating with the client’s counselor, and completing all Baby Intake paperwork.  Adhere to all gender responsive standards.Coordinate case management services with the client’s perspective Medicaid RAE case managers. Will contact the RAE when client arrives in treatment to coordinate needed services. Will document all case management services in electronic health care record per agency and licensing standards.Assist new mother’s in a smooth transition into the Baby Haven Child Care while assuring proper documentation for CCAP and to assist with child care invoicingDevelop relationships with local hospital labor and delivery units as needed, acting as an advocate for birthing mothers in recovery. Develop relationships with the Sheridan Clinic, local urgent cares, local doctors and dentists, acting as an advocate for women as they navigate the availability of services in their community.Develop relationships with other programs that could provide wrap around services to our clients. Assisting in milieu coverage by observing UAS, performing facility head counts, monitoring medications, and assuring safety of the facility as needed

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:

    High School Diploma or GEDOne year of experience appropriate to the assignment (Prior Case management experience preferred)Must be able to register with DORA as an Addiction Counselor Candidate within 30 days of employment.
Because this position requires direct observation of females submitting specimens for urinalysis and nightly bed checks of female clients, being female has been determined to be a Bona Fide Occupational Qualification and only females will be considered for the position.

Preferred Qualifications:

    Bachelor’s Degree or Certified as a Certified Addiction Specialist (CAS) in the State of ColoradoExperience working in a substance use disorder treatment environment with a focus on women's issues (i.e. trauma ; domestic violence; mental health treatment; parenting and child development ;barriers women experience in treatment such as childcare, employment, finding a job that pays enough to support their family ; etc .)Experience working with pregnant women and babiesExperience documenting behaviors according to established policies and procedures

Salary and Benefits:

The salary range for this position has been established at $39,108 - $47,148  

The salary of the finalist(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialty and training.

The above salary range represents the University’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.

This position is eligible for overtime compensation.
