Salary Information:

This is a Specially Funded Position.

Starting salary: $65,731 (work experience and meeting the desired qualifications listed may be considered in setting a salary above the minimum)

Job Summary:

Direct, oversee and develop programming to improve the financial stability by providing high-quality, one-on-one financial education and counseling for Polk County residents.

Essential Functions:

Coordinate the programmatic design and implementation of the Financial Empowerment Center as defined by the grant document. Act as the liaison between Evelyn K. Davis Center and Polk County, referral partners and hosts sites. Work with partners to problem-solve operational issues, including programmatic integration with host sites and referral relationships with other local government agencies. Support the marketing, outreach, and strategic referrals of clients to the FEC.Oversee the implementation of the FEC client management and database system. Ensure that data collected within the client management and database system is complete and accurate. Collect, aggregate, and prepare all programming reports for the Polk County Manager, funders, partners, etc.Train all FEC employees and referral partners on the FEC model. Supervise the financial coaches/counselors at the FEC. Ensure the FEC is compliant with program protocols, outcomes, and other requirements.Report regularly to the EKD/Urban internal project management team. Participate in regular calls and semi-annual reviews with local government agencies and funders. Successfully complete and pass counselor training. Assist in the development and implementation of a sustainability plan.Plan and manage the budget; supervise the completion of all fiscal program reports required by the grant and the college grant office. Participate in fundraising for the FEC programming in conjunction with the college.Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in education, business, communications, or related field.
Two years of experience as a program supervisor, administrator, or project manager in education, grant funded or nonprofit or related organization/agency.
Strong communication skills.
Knowledge of financial education and asset building for people with barriers to self-sufficiency.
Ability to plan, organize and manage time.
Demonstrated ability to lead, manage, coordinate and supervise a broad and diverse range of activities and people.
Demonstrated ability to promote collaboration, teamwork, and partnerships with internal and external constituents.
Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equal opportunity, and the financial, intellectual and socio economic development of all clients, students and employees.
Knowledge of current software applications.

Desired Qualifications:

Demonstrated experience in financial education, asset building, or community development preferred.
Knowledge of database systems, report generation, and data analysis.
Knowledge of financial literacy programming.
Demonstrated ability to market and implement financial education programming.
Experience with human resources, job placement agencies, or workforce sector partnerships.
Experience with industries such as advanced manufacturing, financial services, health care, information technology, or transportation/logistics.
Ability to speak, write, and understand a language in addition to English.
