- Provides supplemental academic and instructional services to migrant students in accordance with their unique educational needs. Coordinates tutoring location with Consortium Specialist. Follows Implementation Plans and meets with Consortium Specialists (phone, online, or in person) to discuss student academic needs, progress, and schedule adjustments, as needed.Complies with weekly and monthly ABAC and MEP required documentation (i.e. Effort Detail Report & Certification, weekly schedule, Pre and post-assessments). Participates in ABAC and MEP professional development and training, as required by the University System of Georgia and Board of Regents. Returns all resources to Consortium Specialist on last day of service.
- The Professional ABAC GAMEP Tutor should possess a bachelor’s degree in Education and a GA Teacher Certification to instruct an area of K-12 where the need of remediation is the greatest. Communication and detailed orientation, curriculum design, lesson development and documentation of progress is necessary to meet the Migrant Education Program Evaluation Standards.
