Job Description The UMKC School of Dentistry is seeking an experienced, customer-service focused multitasker to join our team. The individual must be outgoing welcoming and committed to high quality customer service. Dependability and teamwork are critical. This is a large, busy orthodontic office, patients are seen monthly on an ongoing basis. This person must make a strong positive, friendly, and welcoming first impression to establish a professional bond with patients and their parents. Located at the front desk of the Orthodontic Clinic, the duties will include, but are not limited to:- Welcoming and providing information and assistance to patients, parents, and office visitors (faculty, staff, and students from other departments)Answering departmental phone, answering routine office inquiries using their knowledge of office policies and procedures, and routing calls to appropriate person(s) when neededAccurately scheduling patient appointmentsDeveloping and maintaining professional relationships with faculty, residents, patients and parentsResponsible for sharing new patient information packets patient forms (attention to detail is critical)Maintain a positive attitude to meet (exceed) patient and parents expectations
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least 5 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary
- Previous experience in a busy orthodontics, dental, or medical office
- Experience or familiarity with patient treatment plans
- Demonstrated ability to create and maintain a positive work environment
Full Time, benefit-eligible, staff position.
Salary$13.23 to $17.50 per hour, commensurate with expereince
