Nature of Work
The Division of General Internal Medicine, Department of Medicine at the University of Colorado School of Medicine, seeks a clinician-educator that is committed to a career as a clinician practicing and teaching palliative medicine at a community hospital. Full-time and part-time positions will be considered at the Instructor, Assistant Professor and Associate Professor faculty rank.

Examples of Work Performed
Clinical duties include attending on the Palliative Care Consult Service and/or the Palliative Care Clinic at the UCHealth Highlands Ranch Hospital. Teaching activities may include leading formal/informal teaching sessions. Academic responsibilities may include active participation in palliative care quality improvement initiatives or other scholarly activities.
The clinician-educator will have opportunity for academic promotion judged on criteria of demonstrated excellence as a clinician, educator and scholar.

Salary and Benefits

The salary range (or hiring range) has been established at:

Instructor: $195,000-$230,000

Assistant Professor: $195,000-$235,000

Associate Professor: $210,000-$240,593

The salary of the finalist(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialty and training.

The above salary range (or hiring range) represents the University’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.

Minimum Qualifications

Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.

Instructor: MD or DO degree Board Certified or Board eligible in Hospice and Palliative Medicine

Assistant Professor: MD or DO degree Board Certified or Board eligible in Hospice and Palliative Medicine

Associate Professor: MD or DO degree Board Certified or Board eligible in Hospice and Palliative Medicine

Preferred Qualifications

Instructor: Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine. Current State of Colorado Medical License and DEA by the employment start date. 0-7 years’ experience as an MD or DO

Assistant Professor: Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine. Current State of Colorado Medical License and DEA by the employment start date. 0-7 years’ experience as an MD or DO

Associate Professor: Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine. Current State of Colorado Medical License and DEA by the employment start date. 7+ years’ experience as an MD or DO
