Student Affairs and Enrollment Management Technology Services is seeking a Coordinator – Database Systems Programmer – Boca Raton, FL.

Summary of Responsibilities Include:

  • Manages numerous simultaneous projects with stakeholders across the division to provide support with integration of software.
  • Maintains reports that generate email and letter communications and assists in managing integrated Admissions database systems.
  • Troubleshoots and resolves errors among systems. Utilizes SQL and reporting tools such as Crystal Reports.
  • Develops systems/programs which interface with the student information system for the Office of Admissions, and other SAEM Departments, to increase efficiency of operations, using a variety of programming languages including, HTML, PHP, Python, Java, etc.
  • Coordinates the maintenance of the Admissions website with partners in Public Affairs and develops web forms and sites for division.
  • Responsible for administering and integrating multiple related functional area information systems and for formulating and recommending policies and procedures to effectively administer the related systems in the division of Student Affairs and Enrollment Management.
  • Maintains division databases, both on-site and off-site, providing reports when required by department leaders and administrators, and designing tools to provide an interface among the databases.
  • Maintains thorough documentation for all software systems.
  • Provide technical assistance to the office of Admissions, and other SAEM departments, supporting desktop, software systems, and account permissions.
  • Diagnoses software, desktop, and network problems of moderate to high complexity with divisional staff, university departmental groups and vendors taking appropriate action, with the director, to resolve or escalate.
  • Performs job duties as assigned, which may occasionally be outside of normal business hours.

Minimum Qualifications:

Master's degree from an accredited institution in an appropriate area of specialization; or a bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in an appropriate area of specialization and two years of appropriate experience required.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential to success in this position.

Must be proficient in Microsoft Office programs such as Word, Outlook, PowerPoint and Excel.

Must also have excellent customer service, organizational and time management skills.

$60,000 - $70,000
