HIRING RANGE: $22.69-26.70 per hour based on experience.Job Summary:
Pay Grade: C3
Provide technical payroll and benefits transaction functions.Essential Functions:
Assist Payroll Specialist with reviewing, verifying and inputting of all data related to credit and non-credit faculty pay. Assist Benefits Coordinator by processing all mandatory and voluntary insurance deductions for employees including running monthly Banner deduction reports. File all related documents for employee benefits in confidential medical files. Collect, review and process all wellness reimbursements including updating spreadsheet for tracking purposes. Prep and scan confidential medical files into Banner as well as scanning monthly financials. Maintain filing system for college-wide vaccine declinations. Assist with benefits projects on an ad hoc basis. Assist with the preparation and review of onboarding employee documents and checking timesheets. Serve as back up to Payroll Assistant. Provide back up for front office reception duties. Perform other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent. Desired Qualifications:
Three years of payroll or benefits experience which includes record keeping, data entry, and word processing. (Postsecondary education in any field may substitute for up to one year of the required experience. 15 semester hours are equivalent to 6 months of experience.)
Strong communication skills.
Ability to plan, organize and manage time.
Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain a professional working relationship with a wide variety of individuals coming from diverse backgrounds.
Proficient in current software applications, such as Excel and Word.
Experience in a Human Resources office. Physical Requirements:
Experience working with online timesheet, payroll or benefits system.
Experience working in an educational setting.
