Executive Director for Financial Aid and Scholarships 

Texas Tech University – a premier public research university located in Lubbock, Texas and one of the only R1 schools designated a Hispanic-serving institution – seeks an experienced, innovative and collaborative leader to serve as its next executive director of financial aid and scholarships.

Reporting to Jamie Hansard, vice president for enrollment management, and serving as a member of her leadership team, the executive director of financial aid and scholarships will be responsible for the development of comprehensive strategic planning as it relates to student financial aid and scholarship functions for all undergraduate, graduate and professional students at Texas Tech University, including university branch campuses and major satellite locations.

The executive director will lead a team charged with administering a financial aid program consisting of federal, state and institutional funds that exceed $345 million annually. They will serve as a day-to-day leader in helping to achieve the university’s ambitious enrollment goals. As a member of an innovative research university, the executive director of financial aid and scholarships will navigate a large, complex and service-oriented operation. A deep understanding of the financial aid landscape and its ongoing changes, an ability to adapt a strategy to accommodate those developments, policy expertise and excellent and diplomatic communication skills will be fundamental to success and will be foundational qualities for the next leader.
