Academically JSU offers 95 academic programs and concentrations, including bachelor's, master's, post-baccalaureate, doctoral and advanced certificate programs in a variety of disciplines that prepare graduates for meaningful careers and ongoing education. More than 40 online programs are offered. Department Information
Located in 119 Ayers Hall and part of the College of Science and Mathematics, the Department of Mathematical, Computing, and Information Sciences (MCIS) offers Bachelor of Science degrees in Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, and Mathematics.
In addition, MCIS offers Master's of Science degrees in Mathematics, and Computer Systems and Software Design.
Job Summary
Instructors are needed to teach undergraduate mathematics courses for the general education curriculum. The Department of Mathematical, Computing, and Information Sciences (MCIS) at Jacksonville State University (JSU) is seeking applicants to provide in-person, hybrid, and online instruction. Experience teaching in a traditional classroom setting is desired.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree in an appropriate field and at least 18 hours credit in graduate mathematics courses

- Teaching experience at the secondary or college level
