Art and Design Instructor Professor

The Department of Art and Design of Jacksonville State University’s College of Arts & Humanities is seeking to hire a scholar for a non-tenure track position at the rank of Instructor Professor.

The Instructor of Art Foundations in the Department of Art and Design in a non-tenure track position that provides educational services to traditional and non-traditional students. Responsibilities include serving as the foundation area coordinator for the Department of Art and Design and teaching 4 studio classes each semester including Drawing, Design and Digital Literacy.

All applicants must have an earned MFA degree.

Jacksonville State University's Department of Art and Design, offers a comprehensive professional education in the study and practice of visual art and design. With two undergraduate degree options, students have the choice of concentrating in one of six areas of discipline including Ceramics, Drawing, Graphic Design, Painting, Photography, and Printmaking. Preparing our students for a professional career in the arts is of primary importance and we do so by focusing on professional practice, portfolio building, and real-world experiences.
