Responsibilities and Duties
    Responsible for travel inquiries, payment plan options, travel plans and appointments. Assists with the University's travel Diners Master Card Program. Assist with the Accounts Payable Department as needed during peak processing periods throughout the year.All other duties as assigned.


Qualifications and Skills
    High School Diploma or equivalent and four years of accounting clerical experience, customer service experience and/or cash handling and payment processing experience. Advanced knowledge of bookkeeping principals and accounting standards. Exercise attention to detail in reviewing financial documents and reconciling financial data. The ability and skill to input data accurately and efficiently into financial and spreadsheet software. Ability to effectively communicate both in writing and verbally. Provide excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment. Must be able to multi-task and have strong organizational skills. The ability to understand and administer policies set by the University, University System of Maryland, and the State of Maryland. The ability to understand privacy laws and audit requirements placed on the daily function of the position.
 

Preferred Qualifications

    Experience in a University setting, with proficiency in Microsoft Office, Quicken, PeopleSoft, Image Now and Oracle Cloud preferred.Except for qualifications established by law, additional related experience, and formal education in which one has gained the knowledge, skills, and abilities required for full performance of the work of the job class may be substituted for the education or experience requirement on a year-for-year basis with 30 college credits being equivalent to one year of experience.
