The Graduate Admissions & Enrollment Services unit at Boston University’s Metropolitan College is seeking a temporary part-time Admissions Assistant. This individual will work remotely with our office to assist with an array of tasks for admissions, enrollment, and financial aid such as:

  • Processing & data entering admissions & financial aid credentials for undergraduate and graduate MET applicants
  • Sending emails to prospective and enrolling non-degree students
  • Triaging emails and voicemails for admissions, enrollment services, and financial aid
  • Downloading and indexing prospective and current students’ official college transcripts
  • Indexing documents for admitted and current students to our Onbase credentialing system
  • Contacting prospective students to arrange advising appointments with admissions advisors
  • Providing administrative support to ad-hoc projects
Required Skills

Attention to detail and organization are critical skills in this position. Strong analytical skills are essential as is the ability to work independently and seek clarification when necessary. Given the confidential nature of our admissions & financial aid process, discretion is critical to this work.

The ideal candidates will have prior experience in higher education. Familiarity with admissions systems, a CRM, and/or college transcripts is preferred. Access to a private computer with a reliable internet connection is required. All work is remote and work hours are flexible. A bachelor’s degree is required. The candidate will be working 10-15 hours per week.
