JOB SUMMARY: The University of Tennessee, Knoxville, Office of Information Technology (OIT), is seeking to hire a Labs Administrator 2. This position is part of the central IT organization and will be responsible for supporting all facets of university computer labs from planning to implementation & maintenance, both technical and logistical. This role will serve as a backup to the senior team lead and will provide guidance and mentoring to other team members as well as development of documentation.
Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience2 years of experience providing technical support
- Broad knowledge of a variety of hardware and software including macOS and WindowsExcellent communication skills Excellent customer service skillsStrong troubleshooting skillsStrong organizational skills with the ability to work independently or as part of a team Demonstrated project management skills
- Experience in a higher education environment, especially student computer labsAdvance knowledge of Microsoft Office suiteKnowledge of Adobe products including Acrobat, DreamWeaver & Photoshop.Knowledge of HTML coding
