Job Summary

The Student Camp Assistants will have duties that include:

-Assist faculty with labs, activities, and other exercises during summer camps.

-Maintain routine and order during designated camp times.

-Assist campers to and from a variety of locations such as classroom, dining halls, and other locations of campus.

-Led activities for pre-care and post-care programming on campus.

-Assist with clean-up and preparation of rooms/labs

-May perform some administrative task

Camps will consist of 3 main academic interest, such as Science, Arts & Culture, and Computing & Entrepreneurship. Interest in these 3 areas will be helpful.

Required Qualifications

-Must be enrolled in a minimum of 6 credit hours at UWG with a cumulative GPA of 2.0 or higher.

-Effectively communicate with campers.

-Effectively handle potential disruptions

-Ensures health and safety of all counselors.

-Provide a positive and fun experience for campers.

Preferred Qualifications

-Past camp counselor experience.

-Ability to work flexible schedules if needed.

-Serve as a positive role model.

-Ability to manage time wisely and multitask

-Use of computer and presentation systems (power-point)

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

Position would be perfect for students who are taking higher level classes in Science, the Arts, Computing, and Business.

Physical Requirements

-Must be able to sit/stand for a prolong period of time.
