Nature of Work

The Colorado Clinical & Translational Sciences Institute (CCTSI) helps transform the clinical and translational research and training efforts at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus and affiliated institutions with a vision to accelerate and catalyze the translation of innovation science into improved health and patient care. This position would be supported by a CCTSI study funded by the National Institutes of Health (NIH)/National Center for Advancing Translational Science (NCATS).

 

Supervision Received

This position reports to the Study Project Manager with oversight from the Principal Investigator.

 

Work to be Performed

This position will provide an array of support services to the Study Project Manager in support of overall project efforts including data entry, coordination, outreach, communications, recording/updating information, document creation and editing, general office and clerical duties, assisting professional staff with special projects including data management and quality assurance.

Depending on the candidate’s skill sets additional activities may include data mining, research and compilation of the most up-to-date information and summaries of peer-reviewed literature and current federal guidelines.

 

Length of Employment

Minimum commitment through April 30, 2022 with possibility of transitioning into a full time position

 

Salary and Benefits

The salary range for this position has been established at $30.00-$43.00 / hour.  Hours anticipated to range from 24-40/week initially and based on performance could increase to 40 consistently after 4-6 weeks

The salary of the finalist(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialty and training.

The above salary range (or hiring range) represents the University’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.

Qualifications
Minimum Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in health care, information systems or related field 
  • Experience: Minimum one-year experience in a support or coordinator position, preferably research
  • Proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Excel, Powerpoint, and Word
Preferred Skills
  • Master’s degree in health care, information systems, business, or related field
  • Knowledge and experience with data cleaning and management, survey development that may include familiarity with REDCap or similar data collection instruments
  • Research and IRB protocols, quality improvement efforts, process mapping, and workflow analysis
  • Familiarity with R programming

  • Curiosity, intuition, and technical competence to guide data analysis techniques
  • Independent worker able to work effectively with team or on own with little supervision
  • Must be dependable, detail-oriented, flexible, organized, willing to learn, possess the ability to multi-task, and have a professional demeanor
  • Ability to generate ad hoc reports from the data as needed
  • Ability to synthesize information and provide written summaries of articles or document information relayed verbally with accuracy
  • Must have solid written and oral communication skills, including the ability to communicate clearly and professionally via telephone and email
  • Strong time management skills, ability to quickly organize resources and establishing priorities
  • Ability to utilize primary and secondary research techniques to produce insightful decisions and support PM and PI recommendation
This position requires commitment to the position's shifts diligently and punctually, honesty, performing assigned tasks, following directions, taking initiative, reliability, confidentiality, checking work for thoroughness and accuracy with attention to detail, and interest in learning new skills and engaging in opportunities for growth
